The Law Office of James E. Favero III, P.A. was founded by James “Jimbo” Favero, an AV® rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell. The firm focuses on real estate, construction, and business matters.

Jimbo, as most call him, grew up in Central Florida, attending Lake Brantley High School. After high school, he attended the University of Florida where he played on the men’s lacrosse team and was an active member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. After graduating cum laude with a degree in Finance, he began a real estate career as a sales associate for one of the largest homebuilders in the nation.

After several successful years selling new homes, the real estate market bubble burst, resulting in big changes in the homebuilding industry and numerous legal issues. Many of the executives Jimbo worked with in the homebuilding industry were attorneys by trade, which inspired him to pursue a legal career.

Jimbo then attended Stetson University College of Law, where he focused his studies on real estate, business, tax, estate planning, and construction law. During law school, he worked for a construction litigation law firm, a tax and estate planning law firm, and in the legal department for an international restaurant conglomerate.

After graduating law school, Jimbo began his legal career at a well respected civil litigation defense firm in Orlando, where he worked for many years as a trial attorney handling hundreds of cases in workers’ compensation and general civil litigation matters. He then took a position as General Counsel and Vice President of Operations for a local construction company, before deciding to pursue his dream to open his own law firm.

Jimbo has maintained a real estate license through the State of Florida since 2004 and is currently licensed as a real estate broker.

Jimbo lives in Maitland with his wife, Amy, and their two children.
